Q- How to purchase SCOM SIM?
To purchase SCOM SIM in Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir region you must have a valid National Identity Card NIC. If you have a valid ID card you can visit any SCOM Franchise near you and buy SCOM SIM.
Q- What documents are required to purchase a SCOM SIM?
The following documents are required to get SCOM SIM, activate and use it in Pakistan.
- You must be a Pakistani citizen
- You have to do Biometric Verification
- A Valid CNIC Copy is required to register a new SCOM SIM
- If you are out of Pakistan and want to get SCOM SIM a valid Passport is required to activate
- For Overseas Pakistanis: NICOP
- Afghan Citizens: NADRA-issued Afghan Card required (Biometric Verification Mandatory)
Q- Can Post Paid customer recharge his account through EVC and Voucher Card?
Yes, postpaid customers are allowed to recharge their accounts through EVC and Voucher Cards.
Q- How to check the Balance for prepaid customers?
The SCOM SSD code for the balance check-in is *125#. By typing and sending this code you can check the balance of your SCOM prepaid connection
Q- How to check Bill for the postpaid customers?
To check the bill for the postpaid customers the code is the same as the prepaid customers *125#
Q- How to get Data packages activated?
If you are SCOM prepaid customer and want to get your data package activated dial *111# and send the button, And if you are a postpaid SCOM customer you need to visit the nearest franchise to get your package activated.
Q- How to get GPRS Settings for SCOM SIM?
Just like all other cellular companies, you will get the SPRS set via text message when you first insert the SCOM SIM in your mobile phone. For any reason, if you forgot or delete the SMS you can still get the SOM GPRS settings by sending a message. Type “GPRS” to 605 through SMS.
Q- How to check my usage details and service/offers already active on my number?
Use the self-care app to check the usage details and services activated on your SCOM number.
Q- When does the prepaid balance expire?
The prepaid balance expiry date is 90 days.
Q- How Can I Activate these Packages?
Dial *725# for prepaid customers or can call 355/111/726-726 or the SCOM helpline to get the packages activated.
Q- Do I need an additional phone line for broadband service?
Your SPHONE Broadband service will be installed on your existing phone line. This means you can talk on your phone and access the Internet at the same time
Q- How will I be billed for SPHONE Broadband service?
Your broadband charges will appear as a separately itemized charge on your monthly telephone bill
Q- Can I shift the service to another number or location?
If you want to shift the service to another location and number, it is allowed. You can do it by visiting the SCOM franchise and fill a request form.
Q- Where can I get the duplicate bill?
Visit https://sco.gov.pk/sco-postpaid-bill/ to get the duplicate bill.
Q- What is the procedure to apply for New Landline?
To apply and get a new SCO landline visit the nearest SCO franchise or office and fill out a form. The customer needs to pay the first installment fee in the office. Once the installation fee is submitted the new landline process started. The customers will be informed by Call & e-mail about order installation.
Q- What if I want to temporarily block my SIM connection?
In case of an emergency or want to block SCOM SIM temporarily you have to call SCOM Helpline 111-SCO-SCO (726-726) or visit the nearest franchise to block the SIM instantly.
Q- What if my device is misplaced/stolen?
In case of misplaced or stolen devices, the first thing to do is block them by SCO. To block the device visit the nearest center or call the SCO helpline.
